Frequently Asked Questions

General Information

When and where is this course held?

VIPTC’s 2024 Infection Prevention Conference will be held on November 8, 2024 from 8:00am to 4:00pm ET at the Hyatt House Richmond/Short Pump, 11800 W Broad St #1098, Henrico, VA 23233. This is a one-day, in-person course with optional on-demand content. We will not be offering a virtual option.

Hyatt House Richmond/Short Pump is located on the back of the Short Pump Town Center Mall. When turning into the mall, follow the direction signs for Dick's Sporting Goods, and you'll see the hotel.

What is the mask policy?

The decision on whether to wear a mask is up to each participant. Attendees choosing to use masks should bring their own masks. We will have a limited supply of masks at registration while supplies last. We ask attendees to respect all participants’ personal choices on masking.

Where do I go to check in?

The conference will be located in the Vineyard room. Check in will be near the entrance of the conference room. The Vineyard room is located on the first floor, just past the elevators and to the right. Hotel staff will be able to direct you to The Vineyard if you need help.

Is there anything I should bring?

A smartphone, table, or laptop will be needed to participate in our audience response system. In addition, a sweater or light jacket is recommended as meeting rooms can have variable temperatures.

How do I cancel my registration?

If you will no longer be able to attend, please email us at viptc@vcuhealth.org.

Are there rooms available at the hotel for out-of-town attendees?

We have reserved a block of rooms at the conference rate for attendees for the night before and night of the conference (November 7th-8th and 8th-9th). These rooms are available on a first-come, first-serve basis until the block is fully booked. To reserve your room, please go to the block’s website, enter the dates you wish to stay, then click on the box that says “Find Rooms” to proceed to the room selection page.
